Brooke Jackson Edmond
Brooke Jackson Edmond is the Senior Vice President and Founding Principal of Jackmont Hospitality. In the position, she has principal responsibilities for marketing, business development, and construction management. With a combined background in construction and hospitality services, she brings more than 10 years of professional experience to the business. Since its inception, Edmond has successfully managed the development and construction of several Jackmont Hospitality new operations, including a $1.3 million TGI Friday's location at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest airport, for which Jackmont was named Food and Beverage Operator of the Year for the entire airport for the year 2004.
Before starting Jackmont Hospitality, Edmond owned and operated a freelance construction company that conducted construction estimations, schedulings and other pre-construction services. Her clients included the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, O'Brien-Kreitzburg/Russell, the Walt Disney Company and Blizzard Beach. Edmond is a member of the Azalea City Chapter of Links, Inc., 100 Black Women of Atlanta and formerly served as a "Big Sister" to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta. She is also a board member of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. Edmond is a graduate of Spelman College and is married to Roderick Edmond, M.D., J.D. They are the parents of three daughters and two sons. |
Virgil Murray
Virgil Murray is the Executive Director of the Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation. Murray oversees all aspects of programming and directs day-to-day operations for the foundation. Prior to joining the Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation, he served as the School Administrative Manager with Atlanta Public Schools, Partnership Coordinator for the Arthur M. Blank Foundation's Pathways to Success program at the New Schools at Carver, Program Director for the East Lake Community Foundation and Research Coordinator for Morehouse School of Medicine where he managed community-based research projects.
Murray has served on numerous boards including the Piedmont Park Advisory Board for the City of Atlanta as well as the past Vice-President of the Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU-N). He currently serves on the board of Resources for Residents and Community (RRC) and Board of Overseers for the Ben Franklin Academy. Murray is married to Fredalyn Frasier and has one son. He has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Georgia State University and completed graduate studies in Public Health from Emory University. |
Jemia Kinsey Singleton
Jemia has more than a decade of communications experience in marketing, public/community relations, communications strategy, event planning, and project management with agency and freelance experience. She has provided strategic communications counsel for a variety of clients in the consumer brand, business-to-business, and non-profit sectors. Jemia has additional experience working at firstClass, Inc., Com-Quest Marketing, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, and the Emory University Office of Public Affairs.
A native of Atlanta, Jemia is a graduate of Emory University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – Georgia chapter, the Metro Atlanta Kiwanis Club, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Jemia serves on the board of IMAGE Programs, Inc. and is a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she serves on the Board of Trustees and as a Youth Advisor. She is married to Dowud Singleton. |
