My name is Cassandra Abioye and I was born in Springfield, IL. I was fortunate to have completed first through third grades in Brussels, Belgium and grades four through six in Dakar, Senegal. As a result I am bilingual, speaking both English and French. For the past two years I have attended Langston Hughes High School where I am a junior. My educational plan is to get accepted into the University of Chicago, Duke, or New York University. I would like to eventually obtain my doctorate degree in Business Marketing and Advertising.

My name is Paige Addison and I attend North Atlanta High School. I would like to go to Duke University in the fall of 2012 with the goal of becoming an optometrist. I plan to attend an optometry school and complete my residency at a prestigious school.

My name is Lasha Banks and I am a junior at Benjamin E. Mays High School. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend Meredith College in Raleigh, Chaminade University in Honolulu, or the University of New Hampshire. I plan to major in Interior Design and minor in Francophone Language and Culture.

My name is Montanez Baugh and I am a junior at Maynard H. Jackson High School. My prospects for college include the University of Michigan and the University of Texas at Austin in addition to several other schools with strong music programs. I am currently working on starting a music group with a very close friend. In addition to working on becoming a musician (mainly a harpist), I do plan to obtain a degree in music education (ultimately orchestral education) so that I can give back to the community through knowledge, wisdom, and charitable events.

My name is Destiny Bethea and I attend the D.M. Therrell School of Health Science and Research. My top choices for college are the University of Michigan, Florida A & M University, and the University of Georgia. My interests include dancing, sports, and reading. I am undecided about what I would like to major in at college because there are quite a few things that catch my interest.

My name is Shakira Carter. I am 17 years old and I attend Maynard H. Jackson High School – the Engineering Early College Academy. I am a proud member of the Ladies of Distinction organization at Jackson High School. Upon graduation, I would like to attend Clark Atlanta University and major in Law and Business. My career goal is to become a successful immigration lawyer.

My name is Oshay Columbus and I am a junior at D.M. Therrell High- School of Law. After graduating high school, I plan to attend college for pre-medicine. My plans are to attend college out-of-state, but I am open to attending in-state colleges. My out-of- state college choices are university of Alabama, New York University, Xavier University, or Central Florida University. My in-state college choices are Columbus State University, Savannah State University, and the University of Georgia. Afterwards, I plan to attend medical school. I am aspiring to become an obstetrician because I love babies/kids. My second career choice would be a paramedic because I want to work in the medical field and help people. I also have an interest in becoming a social worker because as stated I love working with kids. As a hobby, I would like to plan weddings because I have a great imagination and I am very creative. It would be great if I could turn my wedding planning into a business. Whatever I become, I know I will be great at it.

My name is Caitlin Cooper and I attend Westlake High School where I am a junior. I am fifteen years old and my hobbies include fashion design, shopping, cooking, and hanging out with my friends. I am an only child and I live with my mother, Wendy, and my puppy, Blackie. I am a Christian girl with a relationship with God that allows me to stand out from the rest when with my peers. When I graduate from high school, I plan to go to college, earn a master's degree and study nursing. Some of the schools I am interested in attending are Spelman College, Claflin University, Florida A&M University, Albany State University, Oral Roberts University, and the University of Georgia. My top choice is Spelman College because it is a very prestigious college for women. When I graduate from college, I plan to become a nurse practitioner and specialize in pediatrics. One of the things that helped me to choose a career in nursing is the flexibility of my work hours so that I can always put my family first. What I am looking forward to more than anything after finishing school and starting my career is becoming a wife and mother.

My name is Tiffani Davis and I am a proud junior at Carver Early College. I have a 3.75 GPA and rank number 8 in my class of 60 students. Books are my passion. When I graduate from high school I plan on traveling to St. Petersburg, Florida to attend Eckerd University; majoring in Creative Writing. By the time I am 24 years old, I want to have at least one book published. By the time I'm 27, I want to have opened my own publishing company called Freedom Publishings. When I have reached 30 years of age, I will be traveling back to my high school, middle school, and elementary school to read excerts from my book.

My name is Devin Shackelford and I attend Benjamin E. Mays High School. One of my current goals is to obtain the Gates Millennium Scholarship during my senior year. Upon graduating from high school, I plan to go to college at the Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah campus) or California College of the Arts in San Francisco. and later on work on getting my masters My career plans are to become an actor and a graphic and industrial designer. I love to swim, play guitar, act, write songs, draw, and work on graphic design.

My name Jade Goins and I am a current junior at Carver School of the Arts. My upcoming plans include graduating high school with honors and attending Syracuse University in New York City. I intend to major in broadcast journalism and participate in internships at local news stations, magazines, newspapers, and public relations companies. After I receive my educational goals and degrees, I plan to become a reporter on "Good Morning America". I also plan to become a host on the daytime talk show "The View".

My name is Dominic Stegall and I am a junior at Benjamin E. Mays High School. Upon graduating from high school, I plan to attend the University of Alabama for college. My career goal is to become an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

My name is Qotisha Haugabook and I attend the South Atlanta High School of Computer Animation and Design (CAD). I would like to attend Howard University for college. After graduating from college, I plan to become a restaurant owner. Cooking has been my passion since I was a little girl. I am determined to pursue my dream and own as many restaurants as time will allow me.

My name is Trayana Jackson and I am a junior at Maynard Jackson High School. My choices for colleges include attending Central Florida, Tuskegee University, or Florida State University. I would like to major in Bio-Chemistry. My career plan is to become a veterinarian or an anesthesiologist.

My name is Iman Kialeuka and I am a junior attending Henry W. Grady High School. I am in the Communications Magnet program at my school, participating actively in my journalism emphasis during the weekends and sometimes until the late evening after school. My dream school is Georgetown University, but I would also love to attend Duke University, Howard University, Spelman College, Vanderbilt University, Hampton University, the University of Virginia, or Brown University. Having various language competencies to my advantage, I would love to possibly work in the field of Foreign Affairs. This would include traveling to my family's native land of Africa – specifically the Democratic Republic of Congo – to try and help resolve what conflicts I can. I would also love to become an International Financial Consultant, where I can also travel abroad, meet new people and learn new languages. My main post-educational goal though is to have a position that makes my family extremely proud, gain financial wealth, and to live a life of happiness and success.

I like to engage in all types of activities ranging from running track to performing in plays. I enjoy living life and my life is full of activity. I enjoy participating in programs and opportunities that I am provided with and will benefit me greatly. I would love to attend Auburn University, UGA, or the Universities of Florida and Tennessee for college. I believe all of these schools can offer something different to me. My name is Makalani Mack and I attend New Schools at Carver – the School of the Arts to be exact. I plan on attending either the University of Cincinnati or Columbia College of Chicago. I am most interested in majoring in either journalism or mass communications, or maybe even double majoring in both. I also plan to minor in music education. Unfortunately, my variety of aspirations has not allowed to me choose just one career yet however, I am hoping to become more certain while in college. Before I commit to marriage or family I want to travel the world and gain firm knowledge on foreign cultures. At the same time, however, I have a love of music that I don't believe I will ever lose.

I plan on attending a four-year university or college to obtain my bachelor's and later my master's degree. I am considering the following institutions for college: Northeastern University, New York University, Dartmouth College, and Duke University. My career goals are to join an advertising company as a graphic designer and send eye opening messages through art all over the world. I would also like to open my own art school filled with all the mediums of art; from dance to culinary arts – I want my school to have it all.

My name is Victory Phillips, Jr. and I attend Benjamin E. Mays High School. Upon graduation I plan to attend either Tuskegee University or Kennesaw State University for college. After receiving my bachelor's degree, my goal is to join the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in the officer program.

My name is Mojid Salawu. I am a native of Nigeria where I lived with my parents and siblings. I had two siblings to pass away – one brother died shortly after birth and another brother from a brain disease. This event changed my life because I believe that the disease could have been cured however due to the inadequate technology in the country at the time my brother died. Ever since then I have wanted to help other people and give them the chances my brother never had. My family and I moved to the United States when I was at the age of eleven. It was a decision made by my father to better provide for the family. I am currently a junior at the South Atlanta High School of Computer Animation and Design. I plan to attend Morehouse College immediately after high school for my pre-med studies. After Morehouse I plan to apply to Emory to further my educational interest in medicine.

My name is Frederick Sands and I am a junior at Carver School of the Arts in Atlanta. I am majoring in Acting/Drama at my high school and I am currently a main character in my second musical at Carver, "The Wiz". I plan to attend either UCLA (University of California), or LSU (Louisiana State University). Upon completion of my college career, I aspire to become a music producer/ artist/ lyricist.
