Having the privilege to study abroad in the beautiful country of China is a once in a lifetime opportunity. witnessing the Chinese lifestyle, learning their language, and exploring the beautiful temples are a few of the many great learning experiences we encountered. During the trip strong friendships were built and life long memories were made. Studying abroad in China allowed us to compare our American culture, and environment to the Chinese culture and environment. In my opinion, one of the greatest of the Chinese culture is how much they value knowledge. Chinese kids and teenagers go to school year-round and take rigorous courses. Chinese and American students take many of the same core classes, however; unlike American students , they also take martial arts and English language. By the time the Chinese students are in junior high they have an idea of what field they want to go in to. Majority of the fields are within the rangevof math, science, and politics. At a young age Chinese students work hard to prepare them for their future spending most of their day studying, or at practice for extra curricular activities such as piano lessons.
