My MJYF Sponsored Experience

This MJYF sponsored experience has helped me in many appreciate other peoples cultures and to not take for granted the blessings in my life. Although Chinese culture is different from American culture and it took some time to get used to I have really embraced the Chinese foods, traditions and even the language. While in China I challenged myself to only eat with chop sticks and I accomplished my goal, not only am I a pro with them I think I will continue to use them any chance I get. The language was a real struggle for me but I am able to understand some phrases and even the characters. I even was given a Chinese name, Xiao Shan(小 山) which means little mountain.
